Terms & Conditions (T&C) – Restaurant Rechberg 1837

1. Scope of Application
These Terms and Conditions govern the legal relationship between guests and BarKaffeeFeldhof GmbH, the operator of Restaurant Rechberg 1837 in Zurich.

2. Conclusion of Contract
The contract is concluded upon acceptance of the offer — whether for gastronomic services, rental of premises, or services outside the restaurant such as catering, events, or consulting. The scope of services to be provided by Restaurant Rechberg 1837 is determined by the oral or written reservation or order confirmation. There is no entitlement to a specific table or room. Deviating individual agreements remain reserved.

3. Prices and Payment
Prices are in CHF and include VAT unless otherwise stated. BarKaffeeFeldhof GmbH reserves the right to make minor price adjustments, e.g., due to changes in raw material costs. For reservation amounts of CHF 1,000 or more, payment by invoice (payment term: 14 days) is requested. Payment methods: cash, EC, Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Twint, Swiss Lunch Check. Other payment methods are available on request. CHF 1,000 notes may be refused. Payments in currencies other than Swiss francs may be requested but are generally not accepted.

4. Vouchers, Promotions, and Discounts
Vouchers, discounts, promotions, and similar offers cannot be combined or applied to other programs. They can only be redeemed if indicated at the time of reservation and at least 48 hours before the visit so verification is possible. Generally, vouchers, discount cards, and similar offers cannot be redeemed on Fridays, Saturdays, concerts, or special events, except for paid value vouchers. Unless otherwise stated, reservations with vouchers can be canceled up to 72 hours before the reservation; afterward, vouchers cannot be reissued. All vouchers are valid for a maximum of 5 years. Paid value vouchers can be extended up to 5 years from the date of issue if a different date is stated on the voucher. Extensions for other vouchers and promotions beyond their expiration date are excluded. The restaurant reserves the right not to accept vouchers if conditions are violated.

5. Advance or Partial Payment
For parties of 8 or more, a deposit of 50% of the minimum consumption may be required. Payment is due within 14 days. Exclusive rental of Rechberg 1837 is subject to seasonal minimum consumption; external services such as musicians’ fees are excluded.

6. Changes to Reservations

• Adjustments possible up to 2 working days before the event.

• Final number of participants must be confirmed at least 36 hours before the booking.

• In case of deviations, the restaurant reserves the right to request compensation for base costs.
   

7. No-Show & Cancellations

• 1–6 persons: free cancellation up to 36 hours prior

• 7 or more persons: free cancellation up to 10 calendar days before the date, 12:00 PM

• Later cancellation: compensation of at least CHF 85 per person or 100% of the offer for a “No-Show”
   

8. Cancellation Conditions for Catering & Exclusive Bookings

• Up to 4 weeks prior: free of charge

• Up to 14 days prior: costs already incurred

• Up to 7 days prior: 50% of the offer

• Less than 7 days prior: 100% of the offer
   

9. Withdrawal by the Restaurant
Withdrawal by the restaurant is made in writing, by email, or phone. Possible without stating a reason up to 10 days before the appointment. Justified withdrawals are possible at any time (e.g., force majeure, incorrect information, unlawful content).

10. Food and Beverages
Food and beverages may only be provided through the restaurant, both on-site and for catering events. Exceptions (e.g., company events) with corkage or service fees require written agreement. Exceptions: baby food, pet food, and only for their consumption.

11. Offer and Menu
The food and beverage offerings on this website, as well as other online published offers and menus, do not always correspond exactly with the actual offer. The offer may be influenced by seasonal conditions, weather, demand, or availability of raw materials and may be subject to last-minute changes. Prices displayed on-site are legally binding; minor price deviations from online prices are reserved.

12. Allergens / Food Information
Our dishes are prepared with great care. However, traces of allergens cannot always be excluded. Any allergies or intolerances should, whenever possible, be communicated at least 48 hours before the reservation but must be mentioned at the latest when ordering. The restaurant accepts no liability for allergic reactions unless clearly due to gross negligence or intentional behavior.

13. Credit Card Guarantee
For a first visit, the restaurant reserves the right to request a credit card as a guarantee. Processing is done via the standard reservation tool Aleno (Aleno AG, Technoparkstrasse 1, CH-8005 Zurich) and its secure partners. More information: https://www.aleno.me/de/ppa. The credit card will only be charged if the no-show or late cancellation conditions under these T&Cs are not met. Alternatively, a verifiable billing address in Switzerland linked to the person or company making the booking may be provided.

14. Code of Conduct
Smoking is prohibited in the restaurant. Quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM must be observed out of respect for neighbors. Heavily intoxicated or disruptive guests may be asked to leave. Liability is excluded.

15. Liability
Liability for minor or medium negligence is excluded to the extent legally permissible. Guests are responsible for any damage caused. Third parties booking on someone else’s behalf are jointly liable.

​

16. Applicable Law
Should any provision of these T&Cs be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. Swiss law applies. Jurisdiction is Zurich.
